Rocketman Volume 1 Number 1 - June 1952 This is the first in a series of collages using images from old comic books. Lest anyone get too overwrought (and I'm talking to guys here - they'll understand) I did not cut up an original issue of Rocketman (worth anywhere from $100 to $3,000 depending on condition) to make this piece. Although it is listed on the title page as Volume 1 Number 1 it was the only issue of Rocketman ever published. I printed inkjet copies of digital files on coated paper and newsprint. The high quality digital scans came from the fine folks at Digital Comic Museum the absolute best source for public domain Golden Age comics.
